THE STRIKE
AYellington, Dec. 7. The Aorangi got away for San Francisco and the Tahiti for Sydney. At a meeting to-day of representatives of unions not out on strike resolutions were carried calling upon the Government 10 intercede in the present industrial crisis by compelling the employers to agree to a reasonable proposal put forward by the "I'nited Federation of Labour that Sir Joshua Williams be appointed to arbitrate in the dispute. Dec. 7. AYarrants have been issued tor the arrest of the crew of the Tofua, who are under the New Zealand articles, for a breach of the articles in giving 24 hours 1 notice!
