Beach Road Concert
TO-MOfUtOW XlUiiT (WEDNESDAY). We would remind our readers flint- tlie concert at the Century Hall, in aid ol : tko Beach road improvements, will take place tomorrow (Wednesday). The committee appointed to arrange the concert have drawn up a lirstclass programme, and (hose attending' will have full value for their money, besides helping a deserving cause. Amongst the many items and per formers is Miss Cecil Haines, of "Wellington, a child marvel who has taken many prizes in the different competitions in the dominion. She is about eight years of age, and yet lias beaten many adults hi the different classes wherein she _ has competed publicly. Her items alone .should be worth the price charged. .Other performers are coming from Wellington, I'almerston North and Eoxton. Amongst them are Miss I). M. Signal, Miss Ts T . Simfli, and Mr [{'. B. "Williams, the noted tenor of Wellington (formerly of the Fish Tubilee Singers). Miss M. "Bishop (who has been successful in competitions), Master McLeavcy, of Ohan (always a great favourite with (he Levin public) will give his songs,, and Miss Olga 'Nicholson, the young Levin lady, who won such flattering reports at the recent Levin Competitions, will also take part. Miss Beryl jUeminglon hns consented to give n Yollo'solo, and as this excellent musical instrument is seldom heard in Levin, it is sure to be much appreciated. Items by (he Levin Male Choir will complete a first-class programme. A dance will follow; it will be held in the Town Hall. Arrangements have been made to supply light refreshments at a low price. |ic twkets are 2s, and they will admit both to the concert, and dance.
