At the coinmencnieut of the sale prices were much on a par with last week'a rales, but they advanced considerably towards the finish. iVime bullocks, £13 to £14 15s; extra, to .£l7 15s; medium, £1L I.os to £12 10s; light, .£lO to £11: prime heifers, £11 10s to £12 7s fkl; extra, to £13 ss: medium, £L> to £10 10s. Fat sheep- 1600 were penned, comprising for the most part good quality wethers. Owing to the small yarding, prices were Is tc Is (id firmer than those ruling last week. Prime wethers, £1 5s (id to £1 7s Gel; extra, to £1 10s 9d; medium, £1 2s to £1 3s Gd: light and inferior, 19s fid to £.1 Is fid; good ewes, £1 2s 9d to £1 4s; medium, £1 to £1 Is 6d. Lambs -26 penned, the best of which realised up to £1 7s 9d. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co. report: — At Solway yesterday we had a small yarding of shoe]) and a fairly large one of cattle, which sold at the following rates : -Light fat ewes, £1 to £1 0s 9d : 3-year steers £7: small 2-year, £4 3s; yearling steel's and heifers, £3 2s fid ; backward heifers, £4 ss: forward cow, £5.
