The N. Z. Aeroplane.

The s.s. Athenic, which is due in New Zealand at the end of September, left London oil loth August, having' on board the aeroplane "Jiritannia," which was recently presented to the dominion (iovennnent by the Imperial Air Fleet Committee. This machine (says the Post's London correspondent) is the latest type of two-seater Jileriot monoplane with SO li.p. Gnome engine, and was flown by Gustav Hamel from Dover to Cologne. Films specially made by Pa the Freres depicting' the organisation of the "Britannia's" Dover to Cologne flight have been exhibited throughout Great Jiritain, and are .now on their way to New Zealand. The committee's campaign for the purpose of presenting- aeroplanes to each of the other dominions, so forming the necleus of an Imperial air fleet, is being energetically prosecuted.
