CRICKET.

I LEVIN CLUB'S MEETING. The annual meeting of the Levin Cricket Club was held at the Loudon Studio (new premises) on Erdiav evening, September la. It was marked by a -record attendance. .Mr D. S. Mackenzie occupied the chair. Mr I{. S. Horn (secretary) then read the report and balance-sheet, which showed a credit balance ol' £2. Both were then adopted and the scl-iv-tary was accorded a hearty vote of •thanks for producing such a favourable report and creditable balaix A letter of ap'logy was read from Mr -J. Robertson, M. l\, who oilered for presentation this season, a bat or gold medal, the committee to decide 011 how it should be presented. Apologies for non-al tendance were sent by Major Burlinson (president of the Club), Mr B. I'. Gardeuer, M. Sulian, and Mr 11. Essex. The following new members were elected : K. S. Young, \\ . Eggleton, \\. Kccleton, E. Bockel, Shaw, G. P. Biown, A. and L. Atkins, 1' ox, Mills, Smart, Mclndoc, Lloyd, 11. .McDonald, .1. Essen, C. Parsons, L. Dixon, .Moore and C. Turner. Major Burlinson was re-elected president of the club. Last year's vice-presidents, Messrs J. Robertson, B. U. Gardener, I). S. Mackenzie, Byron Brown, M.' Sulian, •T. Melntyre, and 11.
