POLITE VAUDEVILLE

Mr V. ill. Beebe's company of vaudeville and minstrel stars will appear at the King's Theatre, Levin, on Friday night next, August 29th. The company consists of fifteen performers, and is claimed to be the strongest in point of numbers and general excellence of any similar organisation that has toured New Zealand in recent years. -Mr Beebe has had many years' experience in conducting successful theatrical enterprises in America and Australasia, and is well-known as a manager who never does things by halves. The present company have been touring Australia and the Far East for the past five years, and has lately "made good," as the Americans say, in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch, and the other large centres of the dominion. Every artist iii ( the company which Mr Beebe will bring to Levin possess well-established reputations, and comprise such performers as the rollicking Roekloys, clever sketch artists, singers and dancers; Miss Rubie Raymond, American toedancer; Miss Ella Conrad, operatic soprano vocalist: Will White, a tenor singer of ragtime and coon songs, and whom the management claim to be "the undisputed champion eccentric dancer of the world": Miss Edie Leeder, a scrio and dancer; Miss Mabel Let ten, light soprano vocalist: Mr John Sloan, comedian, who knows how to provoke laughter without descending to the depths of vulgarity: and several others. The combination carry their own scenery, and elaborate stage properties, and the opening production of modern minstrels is said to be full of fun that refined people appreciate. The prices of admission are 'is, 2s, Is, and reserved seats may be booked at Mr Aitken's without extra charge.
