A meeting of the Loviu Sohool Committee was -held last night. There were present Messrs E. S. Lancaster (cliairman), l<\ C-. Smith, E. Henderson, A. Sims (secretory); T. Broom, T. Dawson, J. Smel'lie and H. "Walker. An application Was received from- the Rev. I'athei I. Henry, tor the use of one of the schoolrooms for giving religious instruction (after school hours) to children of tlur I?oman Catholic Church. On the motion of the Rev. A. C: Bandereon, seconded by Mr Broom. it was deeidc<l to grant the use of a room after school hours, providing that it did not in any way interfere with the schoolteachers. A letter was received from the Education Hoard, asking for a nomination of a member of the Board. On the motion of Mr Smith, it was decided to nominate Mr W. H. Field.
