Levin Borough Council mot la>t night, the Mayor (Mr B. B. Cardenor) in tho chair. Tho councillors present wove Messrs C. Blonkliorn. D. JTannau, D. Matheson. M. Fosella. H. B. France and 11. Prouse. Leave of absence was granted to Councillors Lancaster and Parker. Ptrm/IC HEALTH. A complaint was received from the District Health Officer that the trapping of a sink waste pipe and (he cleaning of a waste pipe on premises in Oxford street occupied by Mr Randall (tenant) had not been carried out. It. was mentioned that the owner of the promises lived out of Levin, and had not authorised his agenls to have the work carried out. •-1Ihough he had heen written to. The council resolved that the owner (Mr (Tillet) be called upon to have the work done within twenty-one days. KAWITT ROAD SUBWAY. His Worship the Mayor was deputed to represent the council on a deputation to the Minister of Hailways (re tho-Kawiit road subway) with the members of the County Council. No date has been fixed for tho reception of the deputation, but it is anticipated that the day will he at «n early date. OTHER BUSINESS.
