A man named John Dwycr, who was arrested by Constable. Findlayson, was sent to Palmerston North gaol for a month by Mr J. N. Wood, .LP., last week, on a charge of vagrancy. An artesian well, recently sunk on Mr Tremewan's property here, gives a. flow of <10 gallons a minute from a. 2-inch pipe.

Tn reference to the Dramatic Society's performance, previously announced, it may be mentioned that Mr Trainer and Mrs Norman have both parts particularly suited to their abilities.
