fr. WEUAUOA'.S KJGUTsi ADVOOA'im New Zealand's Agricultural Collego lor the .North Island formed one subject of discussion by Levin Chamber oi ; Gonunerco last night. Alter a general discussion on tho present position of the movement i> establish the colleges, mid the need lor expedition in the matter if the best interests of agriculture are to Ijo considered, the following resolution was unanimously passed, on the motion of Mr G. V. Brown, seconded by Mr M. Fosella:—"This Chamber affirms that the commercial interests of Levin and the financial and general interests of New Zealand are and proper establishment of tho North Island Agricultural College, and therefore this Chamber urges the Government to establish tho college in Levin—the town on the Main Trunk lino where the State Experimental Farm now i>?; and, further, that this farm, by a small expenditure, could he made to fill all the purposes of an Agricultural College, \yhereas to acquire and perfect a farm at Marion or other like locality would involve an expenditure of from £50,000 to £80,000."
