Then there are the. character sketches which won first prizes at the New Zealand competitions. Mrs C. -Si. Keedwell will present her powerful representation of which won her great praise when presented in Wellington. Mr Norman Aitken will be .seen in his splendid impersonal ion of ".Svengali," the great character study from 1)u Manner's famous play "Trilby." Mr Aitkcn will also give the character sketch which won him first prize at tFio Xew Zealand competitions. namely. Dick I'henyl'is drink scene from Sir A. W. f'inero's charming comedy. ■"'Sweet Lavender" ; also several impersonations of well-known and popular actors, who have toured this dominion. Miss Ruby .Scott, Mr Hentley .Russell, and Mr Kenneth Ait ken will, besides performing in the dialogues and comediettas, give musical monologues and recitations. Mist-? Amy 7{emington, who is already well and favourably known throughout this district, will preside at the piano.
