MISS PETERSEN'S CONCERT.
Though there might, have been a larger attendance at the Druids' Hall on Friday night, Miss Petersen could not hut have been pleased with the reception she met with from a Shannon audience. She was encored every time she sang, and had floral tributes presented to her at the end of every .song. She has a deep contralto voice of much power and compass. She sings with true fooling and with expression, and should, with training, develop into a really good singer. Her first of fort, "Can Yon Forget," was sung with much feeling, and in "My Mosarv," which she gave in answer '<> the encore, her voice was heard to oven greater advantage. In the second part she sand "Forth Green," and sang another pleasing number in answer to the repeated plaudits of the audience. Her concluding effort was "Soothsayer Marguerite" —a pretty ballad, which Miss Petersen rendered very effectively. Sho answered tho encore with "Waitai Poi," which so caught the fancy of the audience that she had to comn back and repeat the first verso before they would bo satisfied. Miss Edna Stuart was an efficient accompanist to Miss Petersen, and -.Ik; prefaced each part of the concert with a sparkling overture.
