Mr. Abraham's Farewell

At a late hour last evening in connect ion with the farewell to Mr H. .10. Abraham. Mr J. G. Jamieson, on behalf of the Levin staff, presented him with a handsome case of pipes and a tobacco jar. Mr Jamieson spoke of the kindness the staff had always received at Mr Abraham's hands, and the happy relations that had subsisted between manager and assistants. On behalf of his colleagues he wished him a, prosperous career. Mr Abraham, who said this was his second surprise that evening, acknowledged the gift in a few happy sentences. Mr J. 11. Maedonald made a pleasant little speecli during tho evening, and said that he remembered Mr Abraham when lie was a hoy. He had always hold him in high regard, and it was exceedingly gratifying to all to know that the confidence which the firm had placed in him had been abundantly justified. The health of Mrs Abraham and family wn.s fittingly given by Mr F. G. Roe, who aptly pointed out that tho making of a business man of Mr Abraham's standing was largely due to the assistance ho received from his wife. To Mr J. Rydor a special word of praise is due. He mado an admirable secretary of the presentations, much of the success of which was due to his whole-souled efforts.
