The. and P. Show.
The Levin Borough Council has taken a definite course in helping to retain for tho town and district the aiuni.il show in connection with the A. and P. Association. A lew week.s ago there was the appearance that the show of 1913 might be the last one held in Lovin, and that from that time onward tho headquarters of the Association wo:ikl lie transferred to Otaki, where there is overv facility for <111 institution of this kind. There was, however, a feeling general among the members tlvat every effort should be made to retain tho show for Levin, and after the unanimous decision of the Borough Council to contribute tho sum of ClB life for this year, with a tentative proposal to vote a similar sum during the next financial year, there is every roason to believe the Horowhenua. A. and P. Association will for many years onLitine to hold its show in this town. The facts of tho case wore succintl.v placed before the council by tho .Mayor (Mr TL ft. Gardener), and (here should be little doubt that after a perusal of his observations the members of the Horowlienua County Council will adopt a similar resolution. Tll doing .so. they "ill, in a small way. be repaying Ihe Park Company for the handsome services which it has rendered to the A. and P. Association, as well as making seen re for the future one of the most valuable assets of the town and district. •cr-gs-iui iiiiiiipiiiiniiiii 11111' fr
