The programme of pictures to be screened at the King's Theatre this evening is said to be quite up to the management's standard. It includes scenic, comic and dramatic subjects.

The empty shelves in the Levin Public Library are gradually filling, and within a brief period the institution will bo stocked with all manner of educational works. The demand for fiction, of course, as in all other libraries is great, but there is a consistent call upon works of a more enduring nature. Since its inception the institution has gone forward steadily in popular favour, and under Miss Palmer's prudent control its activities will) uo donbt, be extended by the e/lluxion of time.
