A petition having gone round in opposition to tlio new hotel being erected at the corner of Durham street, another petition is to ho taken round in favour of the hotel being removed to Durham street. When (Irook meets Greek, then comes the tug of war, and J can tell you, Mr Editor, it will bo « tug of war when the Licensing .Bench nit. The hotel, in my opinion, should ho erected neither on the old site nor on the Durham street site. Tt should he erected on the swamp tlomi Beach road, so that we could mix a little more water with it when it chances to he rank.-
