GRAIN CROPS.

According to statistics collected by the Agricultural Department in November last the following areas were sown for the various crops for the current season, last season's figuree being added in parenthesis: Whoit, 215,528 acres ,322.167); oats, 403,068 (302,827): bailey, 31,644 (33,491). These areas refer to crops for threshing only. It would appear from the reduction in the acreage of wheat that there, will he no surplus for export. Oats, on the other hand, show a much larger acreage, which should provide n good surplus for export.
