—. .4 ■ —■ PALMERSTON NORTH HOUSE SALE. Messrs Abraham and Williams report:—At our horse sale on Saturday wo submitted an entry of 100 horses of all classes. There was a large attendance and keen competition, especially for good young draughts. The lino offered on account of Mv R D. Knight, of Longburn, were a useful lot, and found ready sale, a nice quality 6-year gelding broken to chains realising £57 10s, and two 6-year-okl marcs £50 10s a-piece. lighter sorts on behalf of the same owner made from £35 to £-12 10s; spring carters £23 to £20 10s. Quotations: 4to 0vear old draught mares, £42 10s to £50 10s; 4 tt 0-ycar-old draught geldings, £33 10s to £57 10s; light draughts, from 4 to G-yeafs, £26 10s to £32 10s; spring carters, £18 to £26 10s, unbroken 3-vear light draughts £25 to £38; unbroken 3yoar spring carters, £15 5s to £24 10s; harness horses. £12 to £16; light hacks, £7 to £12; harness pon- ; ies, £5 to £10.
