U'ZK press Aasony.TiON.'j WANG AN HI, November 5. A meeting of the Harbour Board on Saturday considered tho Railway Department's week's notice of its intention to cease working the Wanganui wharf. Tho board unanimously decided to take over the control itself, and protested against the precipitate action of the Government .after such a long delay in replying, and has telegraphed to the Minister asking that the. present clerical staff bo allowed to remain, say, three months, to enable the hoard to advertise for new ofucials.
