'Hie Enginedrivers' and Firemen's Association has sen an ultimatum to the- proprietors. Lyall drivers and firemen cease work to-day it not granted the terms set out by Justice Higgins in tho proposed award. .Motor drivers and electrical workers will also come out unless they receive the terms proposed in tho award granted to the Broken Hill men. Neither engine-drivers nor miners will return until they have received the following terms: Recognition of the Union, the eighthours principle, and an increase of wages. A conference is to be liekl with tho directors and an agreement signed by the directors and Union officials. The secretary of the Engine-dri-vers' Union states that tlio claim for the reinstatement of White has been dropped.
