On Saturday night two Victoria l T uiver.sity students-—.Messrs Kennedy and Al.cEldowney--addrcssed a largo meeting opposite the Post Office oil the No-license question. The speakers are both distinguished in learning and debate. Kaeh of them gave an interesting address, and was listened to with attention. The good hearing received \va.s mainly due to the efforts of "Ro'bbic," who every now and again had to settle up a would-be heckler by calling for order and a fair hearing for "the lads," as lie termed the .speakers. His repeated claim was: "Give him a fair hearing; lie. is only a boy, but lie is talking steady." At the conclusion, "Robbie," with hi.s ihafc in hand, moved "That a hearty vote of thanks be passed to the speakers." This was carried unanimously with applause; then "Robbie" dramatically flaked if there was anyone against it, but no one ventured to speak.
