LEVIN STOCK SALES
Messrs Abraham ai:d Williams conducted their u.snal weekly sale at their Levin ' stock yards. There- was a good attendance, and "Wellington butchers, win were present, bought a considerable quantity of stock. There was a marked advance in the price of sheep, and: a keen demand prevailed. A nice pen of ewes in lamb fetched 225. All the sheep wore sold, with tiie exception of one p"i. Cattle were hardly as good a.s List sale. Eight very bullocks made £9 15s each. Altogether there were twenty pens- of '.Vep and twenty-four pens of cattle.
