(i'pf> i';:kss> t,«. i ion. j CHRISTCHURCH, October 2. At a meeting of the New Zealand Boxing Council Committee this evening, correspondence was received from the Wellington. Association asking for permission to announce a matdh between Tracy and Hannaai on September 22, as for the lightweight championship. The secretary reported that he bad replied, pointing out that the council had agreed to the application of the Wanganui Association to match A. Gault and Tracy for the championship, for September 29, but that, as Tracy was the holder of the title, permission could not_ well_ be withheld in 'connection with his match, with Han nan. It was decided tlbat it was an improper motion for the bolder of a championsliip l after agreeing bo a match with an association, to subseguently_ _ accept terms from another association for ■another match to be decided prior to tlie matdh first agreed to, and, further, to make the subject a matter for discussion at the next conference'.
