Bronchitis at Sea.
SICK SAILOR GIVEN IN CHARGE. jj'Mt PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Tl MARU, September 9. Francis Lynch, a fireman on the Tndralema, was charged before Mr .Day, S.M., with refusing duty on the trip from "Wanganui t'o Timaru. Ho put in a plea of sickness. A shipmate support eel tin's, and accused's appearance justified t-lio pica. The gaol-keeper said the man was ill, and a doctor, who w.as called in, diagnosed the case as recent bronchitis with a soro throat. Tho doctor said tho man's occupation as- a fireman would .aggravate the trouble. The defendant produced a .buindlo 'of clean discharges covering eighteen years. Mr .Day said tho case was dismissed.
