PRIZE MONEY TN " A " GRADE .INCREASED. L«B PRESS ABS(XX».TION.I GTSROR.NR, August 15. At nn executive committee meeting this morning in. connection with tlio coming band contest, reference was made to the value of the first prize for "A" grade hands. It was mentioned that the prizemoney in tin's branch had not been increased on account of a request from tlie North Island Brass Rands' Association. Several members expressed the opinion that the prize-money should bo increased, and eventually it was decided to give a special citizens' prize of CSO, in addition to the first prize in the '■' A " grade hands.
