PALMERSTON NORTH STOCK

REPORT

Messrs Abraham and Williams. Ltd., report:—At our usual Palmerston North sale, held on Thursday, the 10th August, we had a good entry of both sihecp and cattle, which met with n. ready sale. Sheep wore in good demand and every lot changed hands under the hammer. Cattle sold freely at late rates. We quote:—Boo 2, 4, G and 4-year owes in lamb, 13s 7d; 2-tooth ewes in lamb, 15s ; aged ditto, 10s 9d; wethers, 13s ; hoggets. 9s 9d to 9s lid ; cull ewes In lamb, 4s Gd, 6s Id to -7s 7d. Cattle: 2$ to 3-year steers, £5 10s; empty cows, £2 to £3 0s (id ; dairy cows, £4 to £8 10s; hulls, 275.
