.MAORIS v. TARANAKI. {"PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.] STRATFORD, August 10. The football match, Maoris v. Taranaki, played here tin's afternoon, resulted, in a win for Taranaki by 17 points to IG. The Maoris wore unfortunate to lc|;e the game, it being won on the tick of time by a. penalty kicked by Stohr. At the end of the first spell the score stood, Taranaki 14, Maoris 3. For the Maoris tries were scored by Rogers, Taka-rangi, Dawson and Winiata "Rogers converting twice. WELLINGTON v 7 TARANAKI. The Northern Union match. Wellington v. Taranaki, played to-day, was won by Wellington by 23 points to 15.
