• Improvement work at Levin Domain, bordering on Horowihenua Lake, is going on this week, under the guidance of Mr Peter Stewart, chairman of the board. A beginning has been made with the repairing of the fences, .and the drains are to be cleaved forthwith, preparatory to tree planting being undertaken. An order for some of tho more ornamental gum trees has been despatched to an inland wirsery. .
Tire concert given by the Levin Presbyterian Church a.t K'oputaroa was a pronounced succors, and the sohoolhouse was envoded. A varied programme of vocal and instrumental items was gone through, and encores were demanded in practically every instance. The Rev. A. C. Randerson, who .presided, took the opportunity at the close of the concert of thanking the residents of tho district for ."being present in such large numb era.
