For Railway Passengers Guidance.
THE LOCAL TIME TADLB. Searching through a railway iimetacle makes moet people Irritable. The railway table, like the polony, contains many good things, but the publio prefer to have the one particular food (whether mental or alimentary) desired on a given occasion, not a hotcb potch of figures concerning the branch line of Toko, the side track at Waggonyille, or the cross Line to Nevermarch. The particular figures likely to be of benefit to dwellers between Paekakariki and Palmerston North are what readers of the Horcwhenua Chronicle need most, and for our readers' convenience those figure* are now apponded :—
As previously mentloned,_ there are several wnyside stations at which one or more of the above trains will stop whenever passengers desire to be set down or taken up. Local residents may ascertain which are the trains which cater for their towns, and may then work out, from the above figures, the time which the train will take to travel from tho station immediately preceding. The A-ickland express reaches Palmerston, from tho North, at 12.40 p.m. and arrives at Thorndon at 4.7 p.m. The Auckland express leaves Thorndon at 12.15 p.m. and reaches Palmoreton at 8.35 p.m
