The trial of Walter Richard Sadler, charged with the murder of Ethel -May Bradley on or about Tuesday. February 7tli. at Ohri-st-church, was continued at the Supreme Court to-day. Counsel for accused did not call evidonce. The wliole morning was occupied with lengthy addresses. •His Honour, in summing up, said the verdict of guilty of manslaughter was the only one the jury were asked to find. They must be satisfied! beyond iall reasonable doubt that prilßsic ac.id liad been administered to lier. That it had not been administered to lior before emeriruv the shop, and if administered in thv' shop, that it was beyond a shadow of doubt part of an illegal act on th>' part of Sadler. Tf they were not satisfied on this point, tlic case lor the Crown must fail. After one hour's retirement the jury found Sadler guilty of manslaughter, with a stmng recommendation to mercy. Application for leave to apply to the Court of Appeal for a new tri:;l was granted, the <|uesti'un of 'bail being lield over for a day.
