Fire at Ohau.
MR MUDGWAY, SENIOR, LOSES HIS HOUSE. Fire destroyed a six-roomed house at Ohau, tliis morning, the property of Mr Mudgway, senior. From details supplied to Constable Bagrie, it appears that at six o'clock this morning a son of,Mr Mudgway lit a fire in the kitchen fireplace, and being short of water he went away to a neighbour's place to draw some. When he returned home foe found the kitchen in flames, and he alarmed the inmates of the house. They worked strenuously and at last had the fire apparently subdued, but after some further time, had elapsed the flames broke through tihe roof, and obtained so complete a mastery that the whole building 6oon was in ruins. The loss is partially covered by an insurance policy of £100.
