MR MTJDG-WAY, SENIOR, LOSES HIS HOUSE. .Five destroyed a .six-roomed house at Oil an, th'is morning, the property of Mr Mwdgway, senior. From details supplied to Constable Bagrie, it appears tliat at six o'clock this morning a son of Mr Mudgway lit a fire in the kitchen fireplace, and being short- of water he went away to a neighbour's place to draw some. When lie returned homo ho found the kitchen in flames, and he alarmed the inmates of the house. They worked strenuously and at last had the fire apparently subdued, but after some further time had elapsed the' flames broke through the roof, and obtained so complete a. mastery that the whole birildijjg soon was in ruins. The loss is partially covered by an insurance policy of £100.
