Both parties have spent largo sums of money in advertising. The city is posted with cartoons showing the probable and possible good and evil results. The country has been stumped energetically. The usual amount of party wrangling has heen indulged in.
Peter Bowling addressed the Newcastle miners against the proposals. He was jeered at by ,his late ardent supporters. ,
