SPIRITUALIST CONVENTION

[per press association.] DUNEDIN, April 14. The Fifth Annual Spiritualist Convention was continued this moming, some twenty delegates > and a large number of visitors being present from various parts of the dominion. Mr W. C. Nation presided, and read a paper reviewing the general progress and advance of Spiritualism. The following officers were elected: President, Mr W. C. Nation; vice-presidents, Messrs 0. J. Olrampness, W. McLean; secretary, Mrs W. E. Moore ; treasurer, Mr T. McNieholl; trustees, Messrs G. D. Gibbs and F. O'Neill. A discussion was opened in the afternoon by Mr McLean on the proposed Bill having for its object State recognition of spiritualists and tho protection of genuine mediums by the suppression of quacks.
