A contested election is suce for the honour of representing this district on the Wellington Board. Mr R. S. Abraham, of Palmerston North, is the second candidate "announced! for the position. Mr M. Cohen's candidature has been referred to previously. - Eoxton Bawling Club is sending two teams to Levin to-morrow, to play against local rinks. The Levin holders of the Kinniburgh Feathers will he called upon to defend their rights to possession. A challenge to play for them has been, received from Shannon Club also, and this has been accepted also, though at present it lias not been decided; whether the challenge will be accepted for Saturday-.next (the day suggested; by Shannon Club) or for "Wednesday of next week,
