Two thousand seven hundred implement workers are now on strike. A mass meeting attended by fifteen hundred persons, unanimously endorsed the executive's action in. calling for a strike at Sunshine monks.

Only 25QT of 1650 employees are working. Other shops are similarly placed. An effort is 'being made to get workers on the wharfs to refuse to handle non-union manufactures intended for export. The request will bo considered by the Waterside Workers' Federation today. The police holidays have been curtailed in order to have ready a large constabulary force in the event of riots.
