The following is the High Commissioner's cablegram, datecl London, February 18:— Mutton.—Trade in all classes of mutton is very slow, and prices are barely maintained. Lamb.—This market is dull, as the supply exceeds the doma'nd. No change in prices. Beef.—The market is quiet, hut the stock of frozen beef is small. Nominally Now Zealand hindquarters are 3;jd, and forequa'rters 3j<t. Butter.—The market is steady, with a moderato enquiry. There is a large supply on hand, and superior grades aro in demand. There are a few complaints of fish in ess in New Zealand butter. Choicest New Zealand 105s, Australiam 101s, Danish 3235.
Cheese.—This market is quite, hut firm., White 5(5s coloured 59s (sd~--Ho nip.—The market is firm, <rah a hardening tendency. . * v
