CHRTSTCHURCH, Feb. 12. Whilst journeying by train from Uhmtchurch to Rangiora, on Saturday night, Arthur Powell, 26 years orage, and a resident of Rangiora, fell between two carriages when the tram was travelling between BrynMvyr and Papanni. He apparentlv escaped without very serious inliiry, but on examination at the hospital it was found l necessary' to amputate his left hand.
