WANGANUI, February 12. Tlie New Zealand Alliance opened a Local Opt/ion and National Prohibition campaign this afternoon, when Messrs T. E. Taylor and 0. H. Poole. M.IVs, delivered addresses to a large audience of men at the Opera. House. Tlie chairman, in his opening remarks, said Wanganui had been chosen as the scene of the first shot in what would 7)o the most momentous campaign in the history o- Now Zealand. A large meeting was held in the evening.
