At the township of Coralci, north of Sydney, on the Richmond river, a fire broke out at three o'clock in the morning at the rear of the premises of Stoke and Priddaoe, tailors, in Main street. _ ' The fire demolished the whole block except the corner store. Most of the buildingis were new, including the Commercial Hotel, one of the best on the North Coast. Altogether twelve buildings were totally destroyed. . The fire had to be fought with buckets of water from the river. The wind dropping prevented further disastrous spread. The damage is variously esltamated at from twenty to forty thousand pounds, and it is believed it is covered by the insurances.
