A _ EVENTS IN SHANNON. (Chronicled by our Resident Representative.^ Miss Woods, sister to Mr G. N. Woods. J. P., is seriously indisposed. Groat 'sympathy is felt for Miss Woods throughout the district. Mr John Newtown, who has been laid aside for some considerable time, is wheeled out by his friends. Mr Newtown, though unable to walk, is in good heart. Courage helps many a'man to bear up against tho ills of life, and I am sure all those who know him will grant that our old friend ihas his share of grit. What has become of the Shannon
