A deputation from Wairoa waited upon the Chamber of Commerce this morning regarding the- propo-
;-;'.ls to harness Lake Waikoremoana I'd , electric light purposes. After it was decided that the Chambers of Commerce at Gisborne, Xa|>ier, Wairoa (H. 13.), Hastings, Waipawa. Dannevirke, Woodville, Pahiatua. Feilding, and Palmea , - siiui. and inteiTeiiing towns and Wellington be asked to attend a conference with the idea of advancing the proposed .scheme. The (•'■nferenee will meet at Palmerston oi: October 12th.
