[per prksb association.] WELLINGTON, This Day. The case in which .Mr M. J. Reardon, Secretary to the General Labourers' Union, claimed £501 damages for alleged slander from Al.r l?obt. Hogg, a member of the New Zealand Socialist Party, will not come on for trial. A settlement was made in court to-day to the effect that certain remarks by M; Hogg referred solely to bookkeeping methods and that there was no intention to impute anything dishonourable to Mr .Roiiirdon.
