The fires at Idaho, ICastern N\'ash ington, and .Montana are still :in(|uendhed, and the damage exceeds £300,000. Two hundred people have b.cn injured and many are missing. TRAM OVERTAKEN 15Y FLAMES. SISTERS OF CHARITY PEIUSH. HUNDREDS. OF MfSSING. (Received This Dav, 10 a.m.) ■NEW YORK; August 23. The flames are travelling at the ■rata of a mile an how, and the wind i? blowing a gale. Four hundred and. five persons arc now missing. They are mostly firofi 'liters and volunteers carrying supplies to forest camps. A N< i'they'll PacJiic tram, calrrying -12 patients and 10 Sisters of Charity fleeing from the town ol Wallace have been caught in tho burniing forest, and it is believed they have perished. It is reporter] that tho incendiarists are men who hope the Government will engage them at big wages to fight the flames.
