SUMMARY .OPJHB NEW TIMB The alterations .and amendments to the railway time table hav« reduced many a citizen to the state of John Jones, coster monger, some time of London, made illustrious by a song writer who sang of lum that "since Jack Jones came into a little bit of oof 'e dunno where e' are! The experiences of varying time tables during the past three or four months have left dubious impression* in the minds of citizens, and quite a number have missed their passages through confusing last months times with those of the present. Local residents may ascertain which are the trains which oaterfor their towns, and may then work out, from the above figures, the time which the train will take to travel from the station immediately preceding. The Auckland express reaches Palmerston, from the North, at 12.40 p.m. and arrives at Thorndon at 4.7 p.m. The Auckland express leaves Thorndon at 12.15 p.m. and roaches Palmeraton at 3.35 p.m
