Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report:— At our Palmei-ston North sale on Thursday we had a good yarding of sheep to offer. A fair demand existed for all classes and a good clearance was made at the prices quoted below:— Sheep.-Good 3, I and o-year in lamb, 15s 2d to l(i (id; 2tooth 'to t'.ni. ewes in laiub (low condition), lis Sd to lis Ud ; f.m. ewes in land), 7s to 9s (id; mixed aged ewes in lamb, 10s to 12s; empty forward cwm. LKVIX WOOL, SIvIX AXD HIDES SALE. liitchings, Haukin.s and Co., Ltd., report on their usual monthly sale as follows :■- We submitted 'a giod catalogue comprising 12 bales and 14 fadges crutehings, 1000 sheepskins, ;)()() hides, 4 casks and 40 tins tallow. In sympathy with the decided decline in London for wool and sheepskins at the July s;-ii,ies, buyers wei'e very cautious, and crutehings and sheepskins declined fully Jd per lb. The prices realised lor salted and green skins was quite equal 'to our last quotations. Hides have declined at least Id per lb during the past sixweeks, and we predict a further decline at the Melbourne sales toda\\ We (mote as follows:— Wool.— Crutehings.
