A NORTH OTA6O CLEAR IXG SALE. For purposes of comparison, farmers are interested in sales ail'ar, us well as those in their own district. To-day we reiprint an acCouiilt of a clearing sale lield last week at Gra.ssy 'Hills, « station some distance from Oaniaru. The whole of the station flock of breeding owes and hogge'ls came under the- hammer in excellent order, and sold at prices fully 3s in advance of any paid in the district for some ennskloraiblo time. The draught hors's also sold at prices consideraiiily in excess of lato rates. Tliti e'atitlo and .implements likewise sold, well. The attendance for a back country s»>lo was very large, and mteon to twenty cars stood in front of t'ra homestead, making a pretty sig'it. Several drags ran from Kim-mv a'ul Waimate, and buyers were present from Asliburftbn to .south o! Oam.-vu. Mr W. Miller attended to the cat-r----ing for Middleton. Mr and Mrs Middleiton extended their wjll known li'ospritality to visitors .vd buyers, and deserve the-.? poirsDns' thanks.
