To the .Editor.
Sir, —AVliy do nut the Executive of the Horowhenua Kugby Union insist on marches starting at advertised time? In these short days, surely something onn be done to make players aware of the fact that the public, who coii-tribute to the finances of the Union, are deserving of some consideration when they go to seo a game, which ought to bo played in daylight. On Satuiiday matters were simply disgraceful. The easy way in which players and officials alike strolled on to the ground was enough to mako any lover of the good old game go straight home, disgusted. The last ten minutes of one game was played in se>mi-darkness, and individual play could: not be seen from the lino.- I follow all the matches, bu'.t if matters are to go on as they are doing [ shall keep my sixpences. Levin were the most glaring offenders, and I advise Otaki, next Saturday, to claim the match if tho smile tactics are carried out by the Levin-Wanderer Club. K one match was claimed on these igroinids there would be no more late starts! —T am, etc., SPOUT.
