OTAKI RACE CLUB'S PRIVILEGES
SOLD BY AUCTION TO-DAY
At Otaki, to-day, Mr J. G. Hankins, of Hitohings, Han kins and Co., Ltd., Levin, .submitted for sale by public auction the privileges in connection with the .1 inter - eeting of the Otaki 'Racing Club, which is to be held at Levin next month. There was a big .attendance of the public, and bidding was spirited. The aggregate values bid amounted Ito COO more than those for the June meeting last year. The outside gates worp bought by J. Cameron, who gave the good price of £115. Mr W. H. Higgin.s, of Levin, secured the lawn.booth, for £37 10s, and Mr "W. Johnston, of Otaki, the outside publican's booth, at C?f*. Mr H. G. "Wilson, of Petone. gave £8 for the refreshment, stall rights. •Hid Mr .). Mead, Otaki, got' tin horse paddock rights for half-a-sovereign.
