PALMERSTOX NORTH STOCK SALE. Messrs Abraham and Uilliams r'eport:—We had a large entry of both sheep and cattle, and the enquiry was good for all classes. The sheep coihsisUxl chiefly of aged ewes and nie<lium lambs, which met with a. ready sale, all lines changing hands with the exception of on& small peti of ewes. We yarded several nice lines of bullocks, which met with fair competition. On account of A. Harding, of Siberia, 60 3-year bullocks realised £5 10s, and 27 forward bullocks on account of P. A. McHardy made £7 9s. Wo quote:— Sheep: Mixed aged ewes, os 6d, Gs, 8s 9tT; ewes in lamb, 5s fid; fis lid, 7s od to lis 8d; lambs, -Is 9d, os 2d, os 7d, 5s lid, 6s 8d to 7s od ; wethers, 7s lOd. Co. report on their usual monthly sale, held yesterday, as followsWe were the only firm in Levin submitting a catalogue to buyers this month, when we offered a very fine selection comprising 942 sheepskins, 287 hides, 35 hales and fndges wool, 3 casks and 18 tins tallow, and the usual consignments of oddments. Kidding was very spirited for all lines, but this was most especially noticeable in hides, of which we submitted some excellent lines of heavy prime ox and cow hides on behalf of the Levin Meat and Cold Storage Company and the "Cash Butchery," which realised from £2 12s to £2 16s 3d per piece. TTie latter priced hides were taken from the first prize cattle at the last Hormvlienua, Show, and excited very keen competition. Prices realised as follows:— Wool; Fleece, straggler, fijjd to 7d; crutchings, ocl, 5Jd to fijd; pieces, 3|d, 4Jd to 4£d; dead wool, 6d to 6ijd. Sheepskins: Half-wool crossbred, fiid (280 sold): quarter-wools, 4:1 d to 5.\d.; lambs, 6d to fij-d; hare pelts.
